It has separate downloads for the different operating systems, and the it also has patches to apply to the main version you download, so you don't have to download multiple versions you don't need. You only need the newest patch though.
Hmmmmm so, does the preferred gender option work? Because basically every NPC (and the MC) keep referring to the main character with he/him, the male name and as a boy. It could be that I'm just not far enough into the game for that to happen though.
It should work, but some characters will always default to one or the other. The barkeep always uses male pronouns, and Beatrice always uses female, for example.
Generally saving issues on Mac are permissions related. Easiest potential solution is to move the game to your applications folder. Otherwise you can try to manually adjust the permissions of the game's folder and/or save file to have both read and write permissions. If neither of those work, let me know. And have you played any other RPG Maker MV games on your Mac, and been able to save? That might narrow down if it's something with the game vs something with RPG Maker MV in general. Thanks
This is an amazing game! The writing is so entrancing and funny. It is just my type of humor. I especially love the dynamic between MC and Beatrice. When reading the more steamy parts I can almost feel it myself. Good Job for this great game.
There's a bug with one of the hypno traps in the roof section of the middle path - I got stuck in the gloryhole and couldn't get out; the text said I was put back on the top but that didn't happen and there was just a black screen for a couple seconds before starting all over again. It didn't even stop after the charges for the linking device should have all been spent so I had to close the game.
That's really odd, I tested all of those traps just now and didn't get that bug for any of them. The trap doesn't even really put you down in the wall in-game, the screen just fades to black, and then should return to normal after. I did notice that the trap doesn't cost linking charges though, so at the very least if that bug happens again it won't cause an infinite loop after patch 0.26.4. Thanks for letting me know about the issue.
Giving this a go, I find it QUITE funny and I like that most people seem OK with the MC crossdressing! Did find a bug, when you date Katie, all the dialogue is mashed together, like there's either a missing space or something that causes "MC" "Katie" and "random NPC guy" to all show up in the MC's chat box, making it a bit of a nightmare to read. Just that one time though, the rest is fine.
I did find one thing a bit off, the MC is pretty submissive to Katie, but when I beat the dryad in the River dungeon and she not-so-subtly suggested getting ravished, the MC was "nah, not interested". Was this because he's submissive to Katie that the MC isn't interested in others that are submissive? Or was it the outfit I was wearing? The MC seems OK with taking the lead occasionally so I'm confused on that.
In that dungeon specifically, the players behaviour is heavily tied to their outfit. So if you take the slutty girly one, the player has no interest in domming. There are separate loss scenes for most of the enemies based on outfit too, with the slutty outfit the player is generally very enthusiastic about whatever happens to them, and with the tomboy outfit, they are generally reluctant to be the submissive one. Thanks for letting me know about the Katie date bug, that happens sometimes with the code used to change the size of the text boxes.
Might as well ask this, I lost to Alexandra the first time (didn't realize I wasn't at full strength until AFTER the fight started), does that change anything really, or is it just flavor text if I win or lose? I was wearing the "slut outfit" for the dungeon, so I'm surprised that the MC wasn't thrilled with a submissive plant lady (after I slaughtered her)

Losing to Alexandra results in completely different scenes with her immediately after, if you win instead of losing you hypnotize her, ect. Other than that there are some minor text changes later on, generally the player acts submissive towards her if they lost, or dominant otherwise, and in the fourth dungeon there is a series of hypnosis scenes that are different based on whether you win or lost against Alexandra.
I can't change my appearance after the wearing the full set of curse clothes. I wore the full set, transformed, then had Beatrice remove the curse. Am I still meant to be stuck looking like this though
I think it actually just came down to having "purple hair" equipped in my inventory. I didn't realize it was an item causing my problems, so when I unequipped it everything was good.
Yes, old saves should work just fine in most situations. Be sure to download the latest version and the latest patch for that version, and then just move your entire save folder over to the new game. It should go directly into the www folder.
It is not planned. You may be able to play the game on android using JOIplay, but the plugins can potentially cause issues on android, and I don't really have a way to fix them.
Can you provide any more information for that? I'm assuming my game isn't working for you? What happens when you try and launch it? What operating system are you using?

It's a known issue with one of the plugins for the game. Updating your graphics card can potentially fix the issue, but if that doesn't help you might be out of luck until I get rid of that plugin, which should be done by version 0.24.
Use the "skill tree" key item or press K while not in a menu or fight to open up the skill tree menu. From there you have to use your mouse to select individual skills.
ok so i just finished the second dungeon and... did the mc just took over a LITERAL fucking castle with piles of gold and a lot of clearly valuable items, then proceeded to walk away with literally nothing, all that to only get 50 silver coins? What?
Now, I bet you are wondering if that's just a complete oversight by me, and the answer is, yes. Absolutely. But! There's a very easy actual answer for this, that I'll probably write into the game now that you mention it. There's not a scrap of actual gold in there. Alexandra likes to talk tough, and act like she's better than the player in every way, but really, she just tried to make herself look as rich as possible, with piles of gold painted tin, and the like. She is just a low ranking member of her organization, after all, and that certainly doesn't pay in piles of gold coins, assuming it pays at all.
I hope to have a lot more CGs in the future. I had an artist that was making them at a good pace, but they quite doing commissions all together about two months in lol. I'm currently looking for a new artist to work with, so hopefully art will come more quickly from then on.

The MC's internal monologue will always show attraction to guys and girls no matter what. It's not a great solution, but you can hold down ctrl to skip through sex scenes with girl's very quickly. Unfortunately, the ability to skip sex scenes with some of the girl's would require major rewrites to later parts in the game, so I don't think it can be feasibly added. And while I enjoy writing sex scenes with both guys and girls, I do lean more towards girls with the game's content, so I don't think it could really be set up so that you could avoid them entirely. Sorry.
errr, was trying the game a bit, is it normal to be stuck in the second dungeon master bedroom and only be able to select "skip the victory" thingy button?
I keep having a bug where the screen goes black after certain scenes. tried resetting and saving and reloading but I keep getting the black screen. there's no textbox or anything its just black
It is probably just me forgetting to put an untint screen command into the game after fading to black. There's an "untint screen" option in the debugger that will fix this if that is the issue you are having.
Yo really like your game (5 Stars ;) ), but i have a problem. In the 1st Dungeon after I get the collar to breath under water to get into the Slime World, my character auto-moves (while i have those conversations with the random slimes which give me directions) left then down and then left again into the wall and i can´t move from there... Any tips?
The game tries to send you to a certain spot on the map when you choose to adventure with the collar, but if you go through the text too fast it will still try and make you move to that point after entering the new area, which isn't possible. It should have eventually just made you stop moving when it realized getting there was impossible, but for some reason, it didn't. In any case, this patch should prevent it from happening in the future, and also contains a fix that should get your character out of that movement loop if you have a save with them in it. Another Mac user found that launching the game from the nsjw application fixed this issue for them, so you could try that. Is your issue similar to that one, where trying to save just gives you an error sound that nothing happens? And is there an error code given at all?
no I try to save and just nothing happens, I click the file and then save and nothing happens and goes back to choose a file. I have downloaded nsjw but not sure how to use this, how do I open it in the nsjw?

From what I can find, the Mac deployment of RPG Maker games should be only available in 64 bit specifically because I believe Catalina can only run 64 bit applications, so it should be fine on that end. I'm assuming the link with general permissions issues tips didn't help? If you could let me know if that did anything and if you've ever played other RPG Maker MV games on your Mac, that would help me try and narrow down this issue. Oh, this is silly. If you try to turn the traps off while their lights are on, it will just turn off the lights and keep the traps permanently on, but if you disable them while the lights are off, it should work properly. Also this doesn't turn off the larger pink hypno squares outside of the Hypno Hell area. I'll fix this issue soon. If you still can't get the debug to work, you can also use the dungeon skip in Elmgar to go straight to the third dungeon instead, though this sets you to a fixed level, so you might actually go down in exp.
I have, I talked to her got the money and the coin. when I try to claim it at the guild I just get sent back to option to turn in a completed quest. Tried this with two runs same results.
Ah, patch 0.19.10 might fix the issue, you can download it from the main link. You'll have to go back to a save prior to going into Beatrice's shop and handing in the quest though. I'll verify this fixes the issue by tomorrow, if you haven't tried it by then.
Edit: I still haven't managed to re-create this issue, but the users who were having this issue told me it's fixed for them.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but sometimes that's what itch.io says when you go to download a game. I think it's certain websites used for hosting that itch.io doesn't cooperate with, for some reason.

I can't get the game to run on Linux. For whatever reason I can't open the executables with terminal (after changing the file permissions to allow that).
I'm not overly familiar with Linux machines, so I don't exactly understand the issue you are describing. Are there any other details you could provide about the issue?
Yeah, the 3rd dungeon is the end of the current content. It was supposed to give you a prompt when you reach the end, but I messed up and made it so it doesn't automatically tell you when you walk onto the last tile, you have to press Z to view it. (It also lets you go back to Elmgar from there.)
It sounds like the game folder has read-only permissions, when it needs read-write permissions to be able to save. It sounds like you are running the Mac version, so this link might tell you how to change your permissions. https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/mac-help/mchlp1203/mac
Also I located where the private var folder thingy was (the location in the error message) But apparently I cannot change the settings to become read and write. Its locked on read. is there any other way I can save? Ive played similar games before and they were able to save.
I see this error since version 0.16. One time the game started normally, but that was probably just a coincidence (0.18). In the web version there is no option to start the game.
My computer is running Windows 8.1, if that is the reason for the bug.
I hope you can either help me or maybe fix this in future versions.
You aren't running Windows 8.1 through a virtual machine, are you? That was one potential cause of this issue. The other is the graphics card. Updating your drivers may fix the issue, or updating your version of directx. It's very odd that the game once started properly for you, there must have been something you'd done differently that made things work for you, but I can only guess what that was. Maybe it was a fresh install of the game, or you ran it with administrator privileges, or perhaps the filepath was different? Please let me know if any of these ideas fix the issue for you.
I have the same problem but on a mac that is running Sierra 10.12.6 because it's pretty old. The the error's text is almost the same is it the same issue?
Yes, it is probably the same issue. I have been looking into it further and finding that it could also be that your graphics card isn't able to run webgl. You can try updating your graphics card, or, I've made a test patch that could fix the issue, it might not be that you can't run webgl, but that the game is preventing you from doing so due to risks of crashing. Doesn't really make much sense to make the game unplayable as an alternative though. I put "data" and "img" in "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18\www" and "package.json" in "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18". Now when i try to oben the game it says "ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND". If I made a mistake when copying the file please tell me. I can also try to update my drivers, but that needs to wait for about another week or so.
The package.json file should also go in "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18\www". Sorry, I didn't realize there was also a package.json file in the "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18" as well as in "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18\www", or I would have specified, since the two package.json files actually have different data.
Now when i launch it shows the same error as my original comment. The problem might just be that windows 8 is trash. When i update my drivers i will try agan and tell you if it works.
Damn, I was hoping that would work out. I might go back and see if I can manage without the plugin causing you issues, because it has given issues to other people in the past, so a future update may not have this issue.

However, I don't have an issue with my popup blocker. I can download other stuff on the site. Then when I use itch's app to try and download it, it says that it is hosted by an incompatible 3rd party website. Which sucks cause this game looks good.

Most of those scenes are planned to have artwork appear once I can commission art for them, but for now they are just black screens.

So the clothes are still stuck on you in your inventory, or your sprite isn't changing? Either way it sounds like something isn't working right.

I noticed there are a lot of H scenes with only text without CG Illustrations. Is this intentional or more CGs will be added in future updates?

You should need to interact with the wardrobes on either side of the room several times, until you can exit the room through a bottom door.

Press "X" or "ESC" to open the game's menu and then go into Item->Key Item to find it.

The newest patch always contains all the content in the older ones. The old patches are only there in case the latest one has any issues with it.

The web version is effectively the same as the android/ios version that RPG Maker can deploy as, so you can try that, but I haven't developed the game with ios in mind, or tested it, so functionality may vary.
having issues were I can't save the game. tried the permissions thing, changed it all to read and write but still can't save the game. any thoughts?
Another Mac user found that launching the game from the nsjw application fixed this issue for them, so you could try that. Is your issue similar to that one, where trying to save just gives you an error sound that nothing happens? And is there an error code given at all?
no I try to save and just nothing happens, I click the file and then save and nothing happens and goes back to choose a file. I have downloaded nsjw but not sure how to use this, how do I open it in the nsjw?

By the way, I'm using macOS Catalina, is the app 32-bit or maybe it's some sort of Catalina problem.
From what I can find, the Mac deployment of RPG Maker games should be only available in 64 bit specifically because I believe Catalina can only run 64 bit applications, so it should be fine on that end. I'm assuming the link with general permissions issues tips didn't help? If you could let me know if that did anything and if you've ever played other RPG Maker MV games on your Mac, that would help me try and narrow down this issue. I figured out the solution for this issue. Don't unzip the game using the archive utility, use Unarchiver. The Archive utility breaks the game on Mac

Oh, this is silly. If you try to turn the traps off while their lights are on, it will just turn off the lights and keep the traps permanently on, but if you disable them while the lights are off, it should work properly. Also this doesn't turn off the larger pink hypno squares outside of the Hypno Hell area. I'll fix this issue soon. If you still can't get the debug to work, you can also use the dungeon skip in Elmgar to go straight to the third dungeon instead, though this sets you to a fixed level, so you might actually go down in exp.
When I try to talk to Beatrice to remove the cursed heels I keep getting her potion scene over and over.
There was a bug that would cause that scene to play endlessly, but it should be fixed if you apply the latest patch for the game.
Having a bug where I can't turn in the material gathering quest to the guild.
Have you visited Beatrice first? You have to deliver the materials to her before returning to the guild.
I have, I talked to her got the money and the coin. when I try to claim it at the guild I just get sent back to option to turn in a completed quest. Tried this with two runs same results.
Ah, patch 0.19.10 might fix the issue, you can download it from the main link. You'll have to go back to a save prior to going into Beatrice's shop and handing in the quest though. I'll verify this fixes the issue by tomorrow, if you haven't tried it by then.
Edit: I still haven't managed to re-create this issue, but the users who were having this issue told me it's fixed for them.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but sometimes that's what itch.io says when you go to download a game. I think it's certain websites used for hosting that itch.io doesn't cooperate with, for some reason.

I can't get the game to run on Linux. For whatever reason I can't open the executables with terminal (after changing the file permissions to allow that).
I'm not overly familiar with Linux machines, so I don't exactly understand the issue you are describing. Are there any other details you could provide about the issue?
Is the farthest you can get in the story is the 3rd dungeon? I cant seem to complete it
Yeah, the 3rd dungeon is the end of the current content. It was supposed to give you a prompt when you reach the end, but I messed up and made it so it doesn't automatically tell you when you walk onto the last tile, you have to press Z to view it. (It also lets you go back to Elmgar from there.)
I have a problem, whenever i try to save it says "Please select a file slot" And makes an error sound.

Which folder exactly? All the ones that I see right now are read and write.
Also I located where the private var folder thingy was (the location in the error message) But apparently I cannot change the settings to become read and write. Its locked on read. is there any other way I can save? Ive played similar games before and they were able to save.

I see this error since version 0.16. One time the game started normally, but that was probably just a coincidence (0.18).
In the web version there is no option to start the game.
My computer is running Windows 8.1, if that is the reason for the bug.
I hope you can either help me or maybe fix this in future versions.
You aren't running Windows 8.1 through a virtual machine, are you? That was one potential cause of this issue. The other is the graphics card. Updating your drivers may fix the issue, or updating your version of directx. It's very odd that the game once started properly for you, there must have been something you'd done differently that made things work for you, but I can only guess what that was. Maybe it was a fresh install of the game, or you ran it with administrator privileges, or perhaps the filepath was different? Please let me know if any of these ideas fix the issue for you.
I have the same problem but on a mac that is running Sierra 10.12.6 because it's pretty old. The the error's text is almost the same is it the same issue?
Yes, it is probably the same issue. I have been looking into it further and finding that it could also be that your graphics card isn't able to run webgl. You can try updating your graphics card, or, I've made a test patch that could fix the issue, it might not be that you can't run webgl, but that the game is preventing you from doing so due to risks of crashing. Doesn't really make much sense to make the game unplayable as an alternative though. I put "data" and "img" in "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18\www" and "package.json" in "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18". Now when i try to oben the game it says "ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND". If I made a mistake when copying the file please tell me. I can also try to update my drivers, but that needs to wait for about another week or so.
The package.json file should also go in "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18\www". Sorry, I didn't realize there was also a package.json file in the "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18" as well as in "CiC 0.18 Windows\CiC 0.18\www", or I would have specified, since the two package.json files actually have different data.
Now when i launch it shows the same error as my original comment. The problem might just be that windows 8 is trash. When i update my drivers i will try agan and tell you if it works.
Damn, I was hoping that would work out. I might go back and see if I can manage without the plugin causing you issues, because it has given issues to other people in the past, so a future update may not have this issue.

However, I don't have an issue with my popup blocker. I can download other stuff on the site. Then when I use itch's app to try and download it, it says that it is hosted by an incompatible 3rd party website. Which sucks cause this game looks good.
