I'm trying to download this game and it just won't work. Now I'm just trying to play the web version how do  I do that? please bro

I've included download instructions for the web version below, but if you let me know what issues you are having with downloading the game I can try and figure out a solution for that as well. Are you having issues with the download through the Itch app, or the download folder? (If you don't want to wait for a reply, you might want to try whichever download option you haven't tried yet, unless you tried both of them.) What exactly is happening when you try and download?

The web version is in the "CiC 0.54 Download Folder" in the downloads section. Then you would just download "CiC_0.54.3_Web". Unzip and open that, then use the "index.html" file to run the game. Now that’s new, it fails to start through Lutris, with steam-run and the Windows version fails through Wine.

Through Lutris it fails with error while loading shared libraries: libplc4.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. Adding nspr to Lutris libraries makes it fail with the same but for libgconf-2.so.4. Wait, gconf-2? What is this, 2010? Then libXdamage. Then libnotify. Then it opens a window! For a sec, spamming errors to logs, and crashes with Failed to create ICU number format, are ICU data files missing?. This was actually so esoteric, looking it up pointed me to an old comment on this very game’s comment section and not much else xD With a tip to run nw instead of Game. …which crashed with posix_spawn <gamepath>/chrome_crashpad_handler: Permission denied (13).

I’m running this system for ~4 years now and that’s like the second time I had that many problems trying to run a native game. RPGMaker MV seems to combine the issues of older RPGMakers and the Chromium-based “”“multiplatform””” Electron scourge.

In the previous 2 attempts my horny and patience ran out before going this far troubleshooting. This time it’s not even about horny, it’s a challenge - me versus this godforsaken RPGMaker MV which seems so rare, I might be the second person trying to run a game based on it on NixOS.

Welp. It was the goddamn crash handler. Ironic. The unpacked files don’t have execute permissions. I’ve made Game executable, I’ve made nw executable, but I didn’t realise I have to do this for chrome_crashpad_handler too. Now pointing Lutris to execute nw Just Works™. And with that it still requires nspr and libXdamage as additional dependencies not covered by Lutris Runtime, but loses libnotify and gconf-2 (seriously lol, gconf-2) deps, since they’re common enough that the runtime covers them, and apparently running the game through the Game binary didn’t link to it correctly. Somehow.

Also I tried to patch it with the latest patch, broke it (I guess the patches are incremental?) and thus found out that RPGMaker MV really doesn’t like you trying to downgrade a game back to a previous version, even if you delete the old dir and extract it again, crashing with a Check failed: state.metadata.version() == GetCurrentDatabaseVersion() error. (Which btw broke this year’s record for esoteric errors, with a google query "Check failed: state.metadata.version()" returning one single result that wasn’t helpful.) Turns out it stores some db at ~/.config/KADOKAWA/RPGMV that needed to be purged.

Logging this here so that maybe my suffering can ease someone else’s.

I'm not following a lot of what you're saying with the Linux issues, but if you mean the patches are incremental as in you need to download each of them and apply them one-by-one, that shouldn't be the case. You should only need to apply the latest patch to the game, unless something has gone wrong. In what way did the patch break the game?

That is what I meant by patches being incremental, glad to hear that they aren’t. I don’t remember the exact breakage, but I just tried patching again and this time it worked, no idea what broke the last time. Thanks for taking an interest <3 The game is worth the trouble.

As for the Linux issues, the best you could do is make the executables zip with the execute permission, so that they have it when unpacked and people don’t need to manually change that. (I don’t know how that works when zipping files on Windows.) A note that it uses RPGMaker MV (so that it’s easier to tell what dependencies it needs) and that in case of issues people should try running it by executing nw not Game would also be useful.

How do you trigger the elven girl who’s by the two trees selling those body sticker things? I see her on my new save, but for some reason she won’t show up on my main file.

In the bathhouse (found at the top of the map after climbing the tree), choose to fool around with Tillanie and view her assjob scene. Afterwards, she'll show up in that spot.

Katie's section in the walkthrough (available in the download folder) lists some of the early game ways to change her dominance value. It looks like most of them make her more dominant though. If you haven't done the guild promotion scene yet, that comes pretty early, and if you win it will reduce her dominance by 2. And in the second dungeon when you go to the right and crawl through the hole in the wall, if your ass hasn't grown there will be an event on the way back with Katie, choosing to spank her will reduce her dominance as well. However, if she's already dominant, even doing both of those probably won't tip it back enough. I'll check and see what other events can change the variable tomorrow, because the walkthrough is definitely missing some.

Hello again <3, I've been following your game for a long time, and asked if you could add the option to choose the link jewelry when you skip last time, I for one really liked the cheat item you had in the game so I could run through the different scenarios and see all the reactions and choices, I know in a previous post you had mentioned it was intended for patrons only. I have the first tier, and downloaded 0.55's release however the cheat item still isn't there. It could be a error, but wanted to request you if you could add it? I love your game and look forward to everything you have in store in the future.

The initial 0.55 release was bugged to not have the cheat item. If you apply patch 0.55.4 to your game, it should fix the issue. (The game gives you the cheat item in Elmgar, so if you are in a dungeon you'll have to go to town for a second to get it.) If there's still an issue lemme know and I'll fix it, thanks for your support!

im stuck on the gathering materials guest, i just cant seem to be able to finish it either at guild or by the shop and i cant grab either material, im already like 13 hours in this save file so i dont want to lose it, tried earlier save around the time i was gathering the dick weed, on this save i did the ripping one option but after it im not able to pick any of the material

So you are unable to pick any of the blue flowers (Elmsbloom?) If you open your menu and go to key items, do you have any dickweed/elmsbloom? After the first elmsbloom you pick, there isn't any notification when you pick them afterwards, just a shiny little event icon on unpicked elmsbloom. (You need 15 elmsbloom.) And when you say you can't finish it at the shop, you mean the Sorcerer's Cauldron, right? Just want to make sure, as that's where it has to be handed in. With the dick weed, if you have five that's all you need, otherwise the event should trigger if you walk into the little alcove with all of the plants. If you're still having trouble you could send me a link to your save file and the global.rpgsave file in the save folder and I can take a look/fix your save for you.

Okay, I just realized you can actually check how many of each item you have in your inventory. But when I try to pick some blue flowers, it just gives me a message about the elves instead. Also, I noticed I already have 5 Dickweed in my inventory.

By the way, is there any way to find out what music is currently playing? The Elven Village theme is really good, and I’d love to know its name (along with some other tracks). I can send you audio samples I recorded if that helps identify them.

Right now, I’m on the cult church mission, and honestly, I’m completely confused by the whole place. In some areas, I managed to clip through walls, and once I somehow went full ghost mode—I could pass through any wall, but I couldn’t interact with anything.

Okay, I’m a bit of a dumbass—I only just realized you have to pick them up from different spots. The game just gives that message after you grab some. Got the mission done though! Also, does the church quest actually have an ending yet? Does the goddess still need her limbs? How do I find them or progress there? For some reason, the church turned my character into a ghost again—I can still interact with stuff, but it’s just super annoying.

Ah you figured out the materials quest while I was writing a reply for it lol. Anyways, the church quest doesn't have an ending yet. I added a note at the end of the Goddess event that lets players know her limbs aren't actually available yet, but you might not have the version that has that message patched in. Basically, getting her limbs is the main quest for the rest of the dungeon, so they'll be spread throughout the rest of the dungeon but easy to find. 

And I'll just copy and paste this again for the ghost mode thing since I just posted it below. 

"In the church there are a number of secret entrances where it looks like a wall but you can walk through it. All of the intended instances of this will have some sort of hint indicating it. Mostly, it's little glowing footprints on the ground that seem to lead straight into a wall. Ghost mode is not intended and is caused by some sort of bug. Alright, got the ghost mode fixed thanks, now I’m wondering—how do I progress further in the story? I’m honestly a bit stuck on what to do next.

Each individual blue flower can only be picked once. There should be a little sparkle animation overtop of any flower that hasn't been picked. It's not the easiest to show in a picture but if you look closely below the top blue flower has no sparkle, and the bottom blue flower does, so you can pick the bottom one but not the top one. There are 17 flowers in total, so maybe you're just missing one or two. How many flowers do you have?

As for music, none of the game files are encrypted, so you can just go into the game folder -> audio -> bgm and play any of the files in there to see what song it is. There's no way to have the game tell you exactly which one it is though. However, in some of the earlier areas the base bgm has it's pitch adjusted. The Elven Village theme is just the default Theme2 for RPG Maker, but set at 80% pitch. You'd have to adjust pitch to listen to it the same way outside of the game. If you want me to check any other music, you can just let me know what map it is on, and I can easily check it. (Or what enemy you are fighting if it's a battle theme.)

so i had a save with a couple hours of progress. uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, and lost all my progress. did i miss somethong, or does that just happen when i uninstall, and can i get my progress back?

From my testing, it seems like you will lose your save file if you uninstall the game through the Itch app. This is because RPG Maker MV puts it's save files in the installation folder, whereas many other games have separate locations for their save files. One thing you could try just in case is to right click the game in the Itch app and select "Open folder in explorer". The current version of the game should be "CiC_0.54.3_Windows", if there's another version, you can go inside that folder, then inside the "www" folder in there, and see if there is a "save" folder. If there is, try copying that into the "www" folder of the new version of the game. Itch might delete all versions of the game when uninstalling though.

Assuming your save is gone, you can use the "Dungeon skip" portal in the center of town to skip to whichever dungeon you were on to recover some of your progress. It will also give you some silver you can use to repurchase some things you will have lost. You can also set your progress with some of the town NPC's when doing this so you don't have to view their scenes again. Most other things you'll have to redo.

could you maybe make an android version that would be great

The game should be playable on android with the JOIPlay app if you download the Windows version of the game. It's just not specifically developed with Android in mind, so there may be some bugs.

I was able to get previous versions of this game to play on my Steam Deck, but can't get 0.53 to load, does anyone have any ideas on how to get it to work?

Do you know what version exactly worked? Do you use the Linux version for Steam Deck? If it is the Linux version, I always install the latest NW.JS files from here https://nwjs.io/ as it generally helps with some bugs Linux users experience. It's possible the new version of NW.JS doesn't work with Steam Deck, so it might be fixable by using older NW.JS files. (If you have the older version that worked I could figure out the exact files to try.) The only other reason I could see a newer version of the game being a problem (assuming you are setting it up the same way as before), would be a new plugin causing an issue. If it's a plugin problem, there might not be a fix.

The version i was using prior to the latest update was 0.53.4 I think? Not sure about the exact build, i don't have it downloaded anymore. Newest version isn't working on my deck either and NW.JS isn't helping unfortunately. I installed via Lutris.

If version 0.53.4 no longer works, I'd have to assume something has changed for the Steam Deck, in which case I don't know what else to try unfortunately.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean. NSFW content hasn't been completely banned, it is essentially shadowbanned to not show up in searches and when browsing, because Mastercard and Visa get to decide what games you get to play. The thing that pops up just appears to be the folder for the game? You've downloaded the Mac version here, so I'm assuming you are on a Mac. Newer Mac computers have issues running RPG Maker MV games, so the compatibility version is something I'm testing that might make them playable on newer computers. If the Game file does not run properly, you may need to either move the game into your "applications" folder and then run it, or assign read/write permissions to the game folder manually, this link should help. https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/mac-help/mchlp1203/mac

If that still doesn't work, you may also want to try the Mac version that doesn't say compatibility, as I've heard some users say that the normal version does work, but the compatibility doesn't.

i began playing this game on PGH and it had the cheats item, is there any way to have it again?

The cheat item is a benefit intended for patrons. Sometimes I forget to remove it from the public version, which would be why it was available when you played the game elsewhere, but it's not intentionally included for public releases, sorry.

Will there be a mobile version?

You can play on android with  the JOIPlay app. Just download the Windows version of the game. It may not work 100% because I don't playtest on android, but from what I've heard it generally works.

Will there eventually be genital transformation?

It occurs temporarily for the duration of the fourth dungeon, but other than that, and maybe as part of some endings for the game, it's not planned. The issue with genital transformation is that it majorly effects sex scenes, so everything past an optional transformation basically has to be written twice to account for which one's you've got.

You can go the futanari route as a workaround

It's not a bad idea but if I did that it would mostly likely be set up so that a futanari player can choose which hole they take it in when bottoming, which is still resulting in me writing any scene where the player bottoms twice to account for the choice.

It's a bit weird. With RPG Maker web versions, you generally have to run the "index.html" file. Or drag it onto your browser. I tried the new download from Patreon but I haven't been able to find anything new, is there something I'm missing ? I copied and pasted both the patch files into the www file in 0.54

Yeah I'm not sure what's going on there, at the very least the new content in the sixth dungeon should be easy to find, and a brief test on my end shows it's working. 

From your comment, it sounds like you downloaded the base version 0.54 and then patched that, but I just want to confirm that is what you did. If you just applied patch 0.54.2 to your 0.53 version of the game, that could be the issue, as that generally causes problems.

If that's not the case, a brief overview of what's been added and where it is so you can double check. For the sixth dungeon specifically, the new content is where the old dead end was. Up from the tiny room you first enter on the purple floor, go left of the purple goo hallway then up. Additionally, if you are far enough into the sixth dungeon (about halfway into the second floor specifically,) there should be a new Alexander scene that triggers when you enter the sixth dungeon each day. There is also a new date scene with Katie, though it's for a submissive Katie, so if you are on the dom route you wouldn't see that, and there's a new Beatrice scene that requires you to have seen her second dick growth scene as well as reach the halfway point on the second floor in the sixth dungeon.

Lastly, there were 3 CG sets added, so another thing to test would be to go to the scene reviewer. Assuming you've completed the third dungeon, there should be "Cursed Book 3/Curvy Slime" near the bottom, which is from the new update.

Thanks for the update, I'm sorry but I didn't exactly understand the instructions for the play though, that's why I didn't see anything new 😅.

If going left from the goo hallway leads to a dead end, something might be bugged. There isn't really another way I can explain it, if it's working correctly, it should be very obvious. Could you send me your save file and your "global.rpgsave" file from your save folder? That way i can check on my end and see if something is bugged. You can send me a download link on here, but if you joined on Patreon and joined the discord, you could also send it to me on there without needing to upload the file to another website.

I ended up phasing through a wall through the library then went into the left area, entered the white area, entered the red area and that's all for now, sorry for the trouble 

I've had the same issue, it might be an issue with loading old saves as it worked fine on a new game. I can send over the save file if you want

Yeah that would be great thanks. When sending the file make sure to also include the "global.rpgsave" file from the same folder as otherwise I won't be able to properly open your file.

Is there any plans on making an android version of this game I like the game but it would still be cool to have an android version that I can just download instead of playing it online. And can u put a bit more art work in the game I feel like some scene's really need them that's all.

You should be able to play the game on android with the JOIPlay app if you download the Windows version. As for art, I would also like to have more. I currently have two artists doing commissions for the game constantly, so there's more every update, but the game was being made for several years before I was able to commission any art at all, so there's still a lot without art still.

I'm having issues with that joiplay gives me an error even on the windows version

If you let me know what error you are getting and when you are getting it I can try to see what the issue is, but it's trickier on mobile/joiplay since the issue could just be device specific.

There is a walkthrough in the mega download folder. It doesn't cover everything though, generally just things that aren't super obvious on how to trigger or find. It could always be a bug as well though, so if the walkthrough doesn't help you can just ask me.

Can we get autosave?

I could see if there's a plugin that will do that. Are you having issues with crashing or something?

the download doesnt start so i think you might be retarded i even clicked the box on the helpful hint if the download doesnt start so i really think you are retarded for not adding other ways to download your game and if your lack of knowledge of finding ways to make the game download easily means your game is most likely ass as well so i wont even hunt or try and find it somewhere else

Hello, is there the way to bring the save from previous ver to the newest or i need to start all over again? i play in joiplay

All you should need to do is to copy your "save" folder from your old version of the game to the new version. The save folder goes inside of the "www" folder.

How do you get rid of the chastity cage ? I've completed everything till the church and there's nothing beyond at the present edition. Does the cage stay on or can we fight someone and have it removed ?

If Im not mistaken, at the moment there is no way to fully wear the chastity cage in the game, this is just a visual part of some events. For example, you can still visit your cow bestie and also uhm.. fuck her with ur fat dick idk.

Are you talking about the cage that gets put on in the sixth dungeon (aka church)? Anytime a cage goes on the player in a dungeon, it goes away if they leave. This comment has made me realize that I've completely forgotten to say that for the cage in the sixth dungeon, so if that's what you mean, there is no current scene to take it off, but it won't effect anything outside of the dungeon either.

If you cage Evelyn and offer to let lillith show he Dominate side, you should later give the option to make Evlyn take it from lillith. Ultimate power move

Okay I started writing the scene. It's still possible it'll get scrapped but I really like the idea of Lilith dominating Evelyn, with a LOT of help from the player.

I'd like to ask why the purple dungeon third part is showing this ?Can't move, can't see, just absolute nothingness. This is version 0.53.6

That's a background image that should have appeared during some sort of scene, but hasn't properly gone away. If you check the debugger by opening the menu (should be able to even with that image there),  the "Erase Pictures" option should fix the issue. Do you recall which scene caused that?

I believe this the third part of the maze in dungeon 5 which is supposed to have no maze because the two golems didn't make it. The prple section.

I don't know where best to ask, but in the 0.53.4 version,I can't get past the Alarune encounter (i can skip past this screen, but after the conversation with Daisy,it goes to an endless loading screen) (same happens for either version, just a different file name, trying to create an image with the name does nothing) 
still lots of fun though!

Patch 0.53.6 should fix this issue. I don't know how I set it up to call images that don't exist, but the patch should add those images in and fix it. If you have a bugged save, loading after applying the patch may fix it as well. Thanks for reporting it.

would be cool if in a route or something you get turned into like, a demon. I just quite like TFs like that, where you get turned into something not human, or something like that. just an idea.

A Succubus transformation would be possible near the end of the game. There is a cow-girl transformation in the second dungeon, if you were unaware. I always make those kinds of transformations temporary though, it's too much work to have them factor in to all of the scenes in the game.
